Isothermal sections of Eu(Ca, Zr, Ba)-Mn-Al ternary phase diagrams at 770 K

Description

Isothermal cross sections of Eu(Ca, Sr, Ba)-Mn-Al state diagrams at 770 K are plotted by means of X-ray structural analysis. EuMn2.3-3.6Al9.7-8.4(ThMn12 structure type) and Eu2Mn5Al12 (eigenstructure type) two compound are found within Eu-Mn-Al system. Existance of CaMn0.16-0.32Al1.84-1.68 compound (MgNi2 structure type) is proved and CaMn3.2-2.1Al8.8-9.9 compound (ThMn12 type partially ordered structure) is found within Ca-Mn-Al system. Ternary compounds are not formed within Sr(Ba)-Mn-Al systems. Regions of stratification, occurring within Eu(Ca, Sr, Ba)-Mn systems, penetrate in ternary system
