Description
The character of ammonium polyphosphate influence on radiation cross-linking of polyethylene (PE) and stability of radiation cross-linked polyethylene (RPE) to thermal oxidation is studied. The subject for research were RPE films from pure PE and from PE with fire-retardants (ammonium polyphosphate and its metal-containing derivatives). Films were γ-irradiated in distilled water at room temperature, dose rate - 2 Gy/s, absorbed dose - 150-700 kGy. It is shown, that fire-retardants studied in concentration of 10 mass % in mentioned absorbed dose range do not decrease the efficiency of radiation cross-linking of PE. Using the IR-spectroscopy it is shown, that fire-retardants investigated inhibit thermal oxidation of RPE in various degrees
Abstract (Russian)
Изучен характер влияния полифосфата аммония на радиационное сшивание полиэтилена (ПЭ) и устойчивость радиационно-сшитого полиэтилена (РПЭ) к термоокислению. Объектом исследования были пленки РПЭ из чистого ПЭ и из композиций на его основе с добавками антипиренов (полифосфат аммония и его металлсодержащие производные). γ-Облучение пленок проводили в дистиллированной воде при комнатной температуре, мощность дозы - 2 Гр/с, поглощенная доза - 150-700 кГр. Показано, что изученные антипирены в концентрации 10 масс.% в указанном интервале поглощенных доз не снижают эффективность радиационного сшивания ПЭ. Методом ИК-спектроскопии показано, что исследованные антипирены в разной степени ингибируют термоокисление РПЭAdditional details
