Description

The paper reports on the generation of intense converging ion beams by means of RPI and SOWA ion-implosion devices. Design and physical principles of the operation of such facilities are described. Some examples of technological applications of the ion-implosion devices are presented and in particular new Jonotron machines for the pulsed ion doping (PID) of semiconductors are described
