Analog response of a scintillation head

Description

To study neutron emission during the Focus discharge, scintillation heads (scintillator+photomultiplier) directly connected to an oscilloscope through an RC circuit were used. The attenuation coefficient in air as a function of the energy, the neutron-photon conversion factor of the scintillator, the sensitivity of the photomultiplier-oscilloscope circuit are studied in order to calculate the transfer coefficient and to go back to a signal proportional to the real spectrum
