Investigation of the stability of radiowave radiation periods of pulsars

Description

The problem of investigation of the stability of radiowave radiation periods of pulsars is discussed. Studying periodicity one should locate to a high accuracy the time state of radiowave radiation medium pulse, the medium radiation period being stable. A special reception-recording apparatus has been designed to determine an arrival time of the pulsar medium pulse to a highest accuracy at the given observation frequency and taking account of peculiarities of signal propagation in a interstellar medium. The block diagram of an antenna-apparatus complex is presented. Pulsar observations have been performed at the 1025, MHZ at the BSA FIAN 1 radiotelescope. The analysis of data obtained has shown that the day pulsar period can be measured with 1-5 nc error and 10 days period - approximately 0.5 nc error
