Description

A procedure to refine a given Compton profile, J(q), with the constraints of the given number of electrons and a prescribed value of the experimental energy has been developed using calculus of variations. This procedure has been tested employing near Hartree Fock (NHF) J(q)'s as starting data. The and

values thus obtained agree quite well with their corresponding CD- or CI-theoretical counterparts. (author)
