The Act also addresses the availability of disposal facilities during the transition period, emergency access to facilities by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and a reporting procedure. Other sections deal with disposal methods other than shallow land burial, monitoring for health and safety hazards, mixed wastes, and other requirements
