Description
In the present work with a polycrystalline Fe-Ni-Al-alloy the role of microscopic distribution of transcrystalline strain in combination with ductile grain boundaries was explored. The slip distribution varied from very inhomogeneous (microstructure with shearable particles) to homogeneous (non-shearable particles, thermo-mechanical treatment). Different grain sizes were produced by cold-working and recrystallization of the homogeneous solid-solution which was subsequently aged
