Description

150 lung scans in children were studied: 80 case records were studied statistically. The information supplied was regrouped under two headings: diagnosis and course. Firstly, the benign character of this examination in children which is easy to carry out and reproductible when the operator is properly equipped was emphasized. Diagnostically, it permits to understand better the significance of hyperlucent lung and helps in the discovery of malformations. If offers the possibility of assessing the vascular consequences of certain chronic bronchial and lung diseases. As far as the course is concerned, it permits to follow up these same diseases, judge the efficacy of removal of an endo-bronchial foreign body, and sometimes control the results of certain pulmonary or vascular operations. Apart from right to left shunts, there are no contra-indications. In any case, youth is not a contra-indication

Abstract (French)

150 scintigraphies pulmonaires de perfusion ont ete etudiees chez l'enfant: 80 dossiers ont ete etudies statistiquement. Les renseignements fournis ont ete regroupes sous deux chapitres: diagnostique et evolutif. On insiste d'abord sur le caractere anodin de cet examen pour l'enfant, facilement realisable et reproductible pour l'operateur equipe. Sur le plan diagnostique, il permet de mieux comprendre la signification des hyperclartes pulmonaires, aide a la decouverte des malformations et offre la possibilite d'apprecier le retentissement vasculaire de certaines broncho-pneumopathies, au long cours. Sur le plan evolutif, il permet de suivre le devenir de ces memes broncho-pneumopathies, de juger de l'efficacite de l'ablation d'un corps etranger endobronchique, de controler parfois les suites de certaines interventions pulmonaires ou vasculaires.
