Economics of new enrichment processes
Description
Some economic features are discussed of various enrichment technologies, including not only the diffusion process but also the centrifuge process which is being deployed on a production scale and three very promising advanced isotope separation (AIS) processes which are being developed. Brief discussion is presented on some of the other considerations which are considered important in evaluating and analyzing possible enrichment plans. These factors, along with process economics, can guide the application, deployment, and timing of an optimum mix of these processes into the next century
