Description

X-ray filters are used to absorb Compton and elastic scattering of samples, and to improve the quality of fluoresence signal in X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) experiments. ZnO filter is prepared by mixing ZnO powder into polyurethane and then ZnO film is obtained by the spraying method. XRD (X-ray Diffraction), XRF (X-ray fluorescence) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) experiments indicate that the ZnO structure remains in the preparation process of the filter. Further, the ZnO filter is used in the Ga K edge-XAS measurement of Ga2O3, showing a good signal noise ratio. Other X-ray filters can also be prepared by the same method, which is proved to be practical. (authors)
