Optimization of a conventional measuring device for γ-spectrometer individual nuclide determination of samples of water, suspended matter and sediment
Description
Three counter arrangements used in practice with different dimensions and quantities sampled are described. The detection limits which can be reached vary within wide limits with the quantities sampled and the measuring period and can therefore be matched to the monitoring tasks. The lowest detection limits are obtained in the measurement of water and of suspended matter/sediment with a beaker device. Nuclide contents in the fCi/g range can be determined. A quality parameter independent of the measuring period was defined for describing the sensitivity of the spectrometer process. (DG)

Drei in der Messpraxis uebliche Zaehlanordnungen mit unterschiedlichen Abmessungen und Probenmengen werden beschrieben. Die erreichbaren Nachweisgrenzen variieren ueber die Probenmengen und Messzeit in weiten Grenzen und koennen daher den jeweiligen Ueberwachungsaufgaben angepasst werden. Die niedrigsten Nachweisgrenzen werden sowohl bei der Wasser- wie bei der Schwebstoff-/Sedimentmessung mit einer Ringschalenanordnung erhalten. Nuklidgehalte in fCi/g-Bereich koennen bestimmt werden. Zur Beschreibung der Empfindlichkeit des γ-spektrometrischen Verfahren wurde eine messzeitunabhaengige Guetekenngroesse definiert. (DG)Additional details
