Influence of solid solution decomposition on low temperature ductility of low alloyed molybdenum base alloys
Creators
Description
Investigation of structural changes occurring at quenching and aging of Mo-Zr-Ti-C and Mo-V-C system low-alloyed alloys and their effect on low-temperature ductility was carried out. It is shown, that the quenching of alloys with 5x103oC/s cooling rate provides for high level of strength properties and ductility due to the formation of high-dispersion homogeneous structure. Heterogenous decomposition of substitution solid solution with precipitating (Zr, Ti)C and (Mo, V)C carbides which occurs at the aging, results in the increase of cold brittleness temperature
