Description
In view of the existing multi-channel synchronous control technology which had a problem with large time jitter and low delay time resolution under external trigger working state, this paper presents a precise timing control method with jitter compensation function. This method is based on FPGA as the core controller to accurately measure jitter between trigger signal and local clock, and then utilize programmable analogy delay chip to compensate measurement results. Experimental results show that this approach can restrain the random jitter between trigger signal and local clock within 330 ps from the nanosecond to hundred microsecond time range. (authors)
