A method for producing volume-borided materials

Description
The possibility is shown of producing volume-borided iron-base materials by sintering with the simultaneous boriding and subsequent impregnation of porous matrices with the eutectic Fe-Nb-Mi-B alloy. Optimal regimes of boriding and impregnation are established. Studied are the main properties of the materials, the hardness of which changes in the range from 18 to 54 HRC, the boron content in the matrice being 1-7%
