Deep cancellation between proton quantal and liquid drop model effects in the A = 80 mass region
Description
The striking structural similarities between the isotones, together with the dramatic structural variations between the isotopes, in the A = 80 mass region are interpreted by the mechanism of deep cancellation between the proton quantal and the liquid drop model effects on nuclear shapes based on the calculations of the total Routhian surface and its constituents
