Atomic structure and phase transitions in Cs5H3(SeO4)4xH2O - new crystals with high ionic conductivity
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (Russian Federation). Inst. Kristallografii
Description
The results of measurements of permittivity and conductivity in Cs5H3(SeO4)4xH2O crystals in 100-380 K temperature range and 30 rHz - 1 MHz frequency range are given. It is shown that at T = 345 K there occurs a structural ferroelastyic phase transition of the first kind. The elementary cell parameters are determined by X-ray analysis for the ferroelastic phase at room temperature, namely: a = 29.986 (5), b = 12.770 (3), c = 11.259 (4) A, V = 4311 A3, D2h14 = Pbcn, Z = 8 and for the paraelastic phase at T = 360 K: a = 6.400 (3), c = 30.03 (1) A, V = 1065 A3, D6h = P63/mmc, Z = 2. The atomic structure of the ferroelastic rhombic phase is decoded
