Inclusive J/ψ, ψ(2S) and b-quark production in bar pp collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV

  • 1. Superconducting Super Collider Lab., Dallas, TX (United States)

Description

Inclusive J/ψ and ψ(2S) production has been studied in bar pp collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV using the Collider Detector at Fermilab. The products of production cross section times branching fraction have been measured as functions of PT for J/ψ(ψ(2S)) → μ+μ- in the kinematic range PTJ/ψ(ψ(2S)) > 6 GeV/c and |ηJ/ψ(ψ(2S))| ≤ 0.5. The products of the integrated cross section times branching fraction are calculated and used to obtain an inclusive b-quark production cross section
