Sensitivity methods and consistency procedures for core and shielding analysis
Description
After a short remind to the Boltzmann equation, the perturbaton theory in the field of reactor physics is reviewed. In particular the 'heuristic approach' is adopted in order to obtain both the importance equation and the sensitivity coefficient formulation using nothing then the 'importance conservation principle'. The utilization of the sensitivities is discussed as well in the so called consistency procedures to improve the consistency of new experimental data and differential data base. 15 refs
