Synthesis and investigation of molybdates(3) with oxyquinoline, mercaptoquinoline and isonicotinic acid

Description
By exchange reaction of ammonium hexachloromolybdate (3) with respective ligands in hydrochloric acid the following complexes are prepared: (oxine H2)2 [MoCl5xH2O]x2H2O (oxine H-8-oxyquinoline), Mo2O (quin S)4X2H2O (quin SH)-8-mercaptoquinoline, NH4(i-nic H)2-MoCl6x(i-nic-isonicotinic acid). Their composition and structure are confirmed by the data of elementary analysis. IR and electronic spectroscopy, thermogravimetaic and thermomagnetic measurements. Dehydrohalogenation of complexes with oxine H and i-nic is performed and intermediate products characterized by a nUmber of physicochemical methods are isolated
