The influence of experimental conditions on the efficiency of the labeling of 1-hydroxy-ethylidene-1,1-di-sodium phosphonate with sup(99m)Tc, using Sn(II) as the reductant

Description
The influence of experimental conditions on the preparation yield of the sup(99m)Tc - complex of 1-hydroxy-ethylidene-1, 1-di sodium phosphonate (EHDP) by reduction with Sn(II) ions has been investigated. Variables considered were pH (3, 5, 7 and 9), Sn(II) (10-5, 10-4 and 10-3 mol/l) and EHDP (2. 10-3 and 5. 10-2 mol/l). The results were analysed by variance methods and optimal conditions derived. Results were checked experimentally and the stability against oxidation by air and against dilution was investigated. (U.K.)
