Description
Unstable vibration flow-induced of high speed fluid in helical pipes must be avoided to assure HTR-10 (10 MW high temperature gas-cooled reactor) steam generator's normal operation. This paper considers helical pipe as a space curved beam with bend, shear, torsion, derives the dynamic equation from Hamilton's principle. Natural frequency of pipes is solved by using isoparametric element. The result shows that the natural frequency of helical pipe is so high as 33∼101 kHz that unstable vibration can not happened. Then, HTR-10 steam generator helical pipes would operate stably
