Dynamics of a hole in the antiferromagnetic state of a layered structure
- 1. Dept. of Applied Physics, Nagoya Univ. (Japan)
Description
We have studied the dynamics of a hole in the antiferromagnetic state of a layer structure in which each layer forms a square lattice. A variational method which restricts the Hilbert space is applied to the t-J model. It has been found that the momentum of the hole with the lowest energy changes discontinuously as the magnitude of the interlayer couplings is varied and that the exchange interaction on the layers is important for the effective interlayer hopping of the hole.
