Dry-out heat flux of falling film and low-mass flux upward-flow in vertical heated-tubes

  • 1. Kogakuin Univ., Tokyo (Japan)

Description

Dry-out heat fluxes were investigated for a falling film and a low-mass flux upward-forced flow in vertical heated-tubes with R-113. Small dry patches were observed in the falling film near the exit end of the heating test section at the dry-out heat flux. Relation between the dry-out heat flux and the film flow rate was analyzed and correlations to predict the dry-out heat flux were proposed. (author)
