Seismic experiment of high temperature gas cooled reactor core structure, 2
- 1. Fuji Electric Co. Ltd., Yokosuka, Kanagawa (Japan). Central Research Lab.
Description
Among the Fuji Electric's seismic experiment program of HTR, the collision process experiment with colliding elements and the one-dimensional response experiment are described. With collision mode, repulsion coefficient, contact time and impact acceleration as the parameters, the former experiment utilizes two graphite blocks and a pendulum. In the latter experiment to observe motional mode, acceleration response multiplication factor and support reaction force, a horizontal array of graphite blocks is used, and the results are compared with the calculation by simulation analysis. The breakage of the graphite blocks did not occur at all even at the impact velocity larger than that in the actual core. And the results of analysis showed similar tendency between calculation and experiment, indicating the feasibility of simulation analysis. (Mori, K.)
