Detection techniques at intermediate energies
Description
Some examples of planned detection systems are briefly reviewed. Probably the cheapest system is a range-counter telescope, however these suffer from large inefficiencies. Multiwire proportional chambers give good angular resolution and systems with improved spatial resolution have been developed. (G.T.H.)
