Water-graphite channel reactors and operating experience with RBMK reactors
Creators
Description
The advantages of water-graphite channel reactor (RBMK) which facilitated the solution of safety problems and the specific features which imposed fundamentally new solutions in developing the safety system are presented. Based on 100 reactor-years operating experience of RBMK reactors, the various reactor components, plant systems and operating regimes have been continually updated and improved in order to increase the reliability and operating safety of nuclear power plants
