Planning of work and organization of shut-downs at Muehleberg nuclear power station (KKM)

Following an introductory description of the personnel, technical and geographical boundary conditions prescribed for planning, the paper discusses in detail the question of organization of personnel. This constitutes the essential foundation for success in planning of work. Organization and execution of shut-downs with the minimum disruption, low administrative expenditure and maximum flexibility when unexpected problems occur are necessary. The allocation of plant components to groups of engineers, the spectrum of tasks of individual officers and the staffing of the individual working parties are discussed. In conclusion the paper describes the significance and purpose of the daily progress meeting and also of the planning measures emanating freely and smoothly from the personnel organization and necessary for preparations for the shutdown.
