Description
It simulated a process of slowing down thermal neutron through different materials of Cf-252 neutron source. A ball-type physical model is established and then we simulated the slowing down process by adding different moderation materials. The appropriate thickness of moderation materials is obtained and the optimal material types are presented. This simulation discussed a different neutron moderation structure and corresponding material types and thickness, providing a new moderation scheme for thermal neutrons required by PGNAA. (authors)
