Study of the integrated method for improving the quality of digital X-ray image
- 1. Tsinghua Univ., Beijing (China). Dept. of Engineering Physics
Description
Many degradation factors would be added to the output image of a CCD-lens coupled digital X-ray imaging system. Different methods are presented for reducing CCD dark noises and non-uniformity in the image. An improved mean filter algorithm (IMF) is developed for the shot noises of the CCD-lens coupled system. IMF is able to not only eliminate shot noises but also keep the details of the image. Finally, an integrated method for improving the quality of digital X-ray images is given. We can get satisfactory results when this method is applied to an image quality indicator. (authors)
