Description
Gosatomnadzor of Russia has been performing licensing of civil nuclear research reactors (41 research reactors, 53 critical assemblies, 19 subcritical assemblies) in accordance with Federal Law 'About use of nuclear energy' since 14.07.97. Gosatomnadzor of Russia has developed the requirements to documents justifying nuclear and radiation safety of nuclear research facilities, needed for obtaining a license. An evaluation of nuclear facilities safety is performed on the basis of Federal norms and rules, which are being advanced according to the new legislative basis in Russian Federation. (author)
