Monte Carlo simulations and thermoluminescence dosimetry measurements of the two-dimensional dose distribution of a 6702 125-I seed

Description
The angular and radial dose distribution around a type 6702 125-Iodine-seed was measured in water and air using thermoluminescence dosimetry. The radial distribution could be confirmed using Monte Carlo simulation techniques. The simulation produced enough data to allow the derivation of a new analytical function describing the radia dose distribution. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Mit TLD-Messungen wurde die winkelabhaengige und radiale Dosisverteilung um ein 125-Jod-Seed vom Typ 6702 in Wasser und Luft bestimmt. Monte-Carlo-Simulationen zum radialen Dosisverlauf in Wasser bestaetigen den gemessenen Verlauf. Eine umfassende Analyse der Monte-Carlo-Daten ermoeglichte eine neue, analytische Loesung fuer den radialen Dosisverlauf. (orig.)Additional details
