The incorporation of low and medium level radioactive wastes (solids and liquids) in cement
Description
This is the first six-monthly report of work carried out at Winfrith under the Indirect Action Programme Management and Storage of Radioactive Waste, funded by the European Atomic Energy Community and the United Kingdom Department of the Environment. It deals with laboratory-scale trials on the incorporation of sodium sulphate and sodium nitrate in cement with or without the presence of additives, such as blast furnace slag (BSF) and various clays.
