On the contribution of active galactic nuclei to the diffuse X-ray background
Description
We show that cosmological evolution has a pronounced effect on the contributions of active galactic nuclei to the diffuse x-ray background. We find the dependence of such contributions on the form and amount of density evolution, on the deceleration parameter, and on the formation epoch. We find in particular that x-ray Seyferts can account for all of the observed 2-10 keV background when the effects of evolution are considered; the required amount of evolution is intermediate between the evolution of quasars and no evolution. Abstract (German)
Es wird gezeigt, daβ die kosmologische Entwicklung einen ausgepraegten Einfluβ auf die Beitraege der aktiven galaktischen Kerne zum diffusen Roentgenuntergrund hat. Man findet Abhaengigkeiten dieser Beitraege von der Form und der Staerke der Dichteentwicklung, von Verzoegerungs parameter und der Bildungsepoche. Insbesondere wird gezeigt, daβ die Roentgen-Seyfert-Galaxien fuer den gesamten 2-10 keV Untergrund verantwortlich gemacht werden koennen, wenn der Einfluβ der Evolution beruecksichtigt wird; die benoetigte Staerke der Entwicklung bewegt sich zwischen der Entwicklung der Quasare und keiner Entwicklung.(orig.)Additional details
