Convectional heat transfer in two-row pebble beds separating fuel assembly collectors
Description
Results of experimental investigation into heat transfer of two-row pebble beds of cubic, octahedral, orthorhombic, rhombic, birhombic and tetrahedral configurations located between the plates of similar porosity in straight and confuser channels, are presented. The experiments were conducted in a wind tunnel at 0.27-5.52 m/s air flow rate, temperature of 21.5-25 deg C and pressure ≅0.1 MPa. Resulting from this a formular for determining the mean convective heat transfer of two-row pebble beds of various structure, is derived
