Description

The photopolymerization kinetics of photoinitiator 1,3-benzodioxole a natural compound obtain from plants has been investigated by real time infrared spectroscopy. The results indicated that the concentration of 1,3-benzodioxole, the light intensity and the structure of monomer all affected the rate of polymerization and final double bond conversion. The 1,3-benzodioxole could be used as an effective UV initiator. (Author)
