Electrostatic probes in luminescent discharges
Description
A system to produce luminescent type plasma by continuos discharge and ionization by high frequency was constructed. The ionization was done in the air and in the argon under pressures from 3 to 10 mmHg. The parameters of a non magnetized collisional plasma and the parameters of a magnetized plasma such as, density, eletron temperature and potential, using a Langmuir probe with plane geometry, were determined. Foi contruido um sistema para produzir plasma do tipo luminescente por descarga continua e ionizacao por alta frequencia. A ionizacao foi feita no ar e no argonio sob pressoes aproximadas de 3 a 10 mmHg. Determinaram-se os parametros de um plasma colisional nao magnetizado e de um plasma magnetizado, tais como, densidade, temperatura dos eletrons e potencial, usando-se uma sonda de Langmuir, de geometria plana.
