Description

The work focuses on the examination of the composition of lacquers on the car bodies by mass spectrometry of secondary ions. The aim of the work is to find the chemical composition of the lacquer of two different samples and to compare them. Perspective focus is on comparing the composition of individual car types on different cars, and based on this knowledge, create a database to facilitate the provision of evidence. Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) is a physicochemical method used to analyze the chemical composition of various materials. Samples of light red and dark red varnish cars were examined. These mass spectra were measured in both positive and negative polarities. Spectral differences were observed on the top layer of car paint, especially in the C+, CF+, Si+, Al+ and F- peaks.
