Numerical solution of partial differential equations of mixed elliptic-parabolic type in connection with the development of MHD flow due to an electric current discharge
Description
Equations are derived for the development of the flow field due to a current discharged into a viscous conducting liquid from a point of a fixed (non-conducting) plate bounding the liquid. Succeeding sections deal with: an approximate analytical solution (initial motions), and the numerical method. The results are discussed. (U.K.)
