Louis Neel: an example to follow

This article is a biography of Louis Neel, a great French scientist of the twentieth century. He got achievements in many fields of physics from magnetism to condensed matter. During the second world war he designed a technique to counter the German floating mines, about 500 ships were treated and could cross seas safely. In 1956, he convinced the French atomic energy board (Cea) to settle a nuclear research center in Grenoble. In 1970, L.Neel was awarded the Nobel prize of physics for discoveries concerning antiferromagnetism and ferrimagnetism
