Relation between the cross sections for spontaneous and laser-induced nuclear reactions

Description

The cross sections for the interaction of low energy neutrons with nuclei in the field of a light wave, accompanied by energy transfer to the field, are expressed in terms of the cross sections for spontaneous electromagnetic transitions. The expressions for the cross sections for scattering with the emission or absorption of a quantum of the external field in the presence of two compound resonances are obtained
