Critical thermodynamics of dysprosium ethyl sulphate, a pure dipolar ising ferromagnet

Description
Using a SQUID magnetometer the magnetization of the Ising ferromagnet dysprosium ethyl sulphate has been measured in the temperature range 0.015-3 K and in external fields 0.004-30 Oe. The results at T > 0.4 K (precritical regime) confirm the pure dipolar nature of the magnetic interactions. (orig.)

Die Magnetisierung des ISING-Ferromagneten Dysprosiumaethylsulfat wurde im Temperaturbereich 0,015-3 K und in aeusseren Feldern von 0,004-300 e mit Hilfe eines SQUID-Magnetometers gemessen. Die Ergebnisse bei T > 0,4 K (praekritisches Regime) bestaetigen die rein dipikare Natur der magnetischen Wechselwirkungen. (orig.)Additional details
