Finite element methods for the solution of multidimensional reactor physics problems
Description
Various 2D and 3D reactor benchmark problems were solved with the DIFGEN code. DIFGEN uses the finite element technique to solve the multigroup neutron diffusion equation. Some of the theoretical background and the numerical methods used in DIFGEN are described. Problem specifications and results obtained with DIFGEN are given. (orig.)
