Improvement of mass-spectrometer of non-decelerated products of nuclei fission in Tashkent

  • 1. Inst. yadernoj fiziki, Tashkent (Uzbekistan)

Description

The mass-spectrometer of non-decelerated products of nuclei fission (PNF), that segregates initial PNF by their masses M, kinetic energies Ek and ion charges e, has been functioning at horizontal channel of WWR-SM reactor since 1971 year. Possessing a high mass resolution capability (M/ΔM∼800 per 0.5 peak height), the device has a small light-gathering power (1.29·10-5 sr), which constraints its experimental capabilities. Development of calculation methods of the ion-optical systems (IOS) allowed recalculating of the IOS of the existing mass-spectrometer of non-decelerated products of nuclei fission (NDPNF) with the purpose of increasing its efficiency, not decreasing the resolution capabilities. Having the relevant detection facilities, it was adequate to broaden the scope of experimental activity related to application of multicharged ions
