Regional ejection fraction: a quantitative index of left ventricular function

Description
Assessment of global and regional ventricular function based on changing counting rates provides a method for quantifying its abnormalities. In all cases were a segmentary alteration of the wall motion was observed, the Regional Ejection Fraction (REF) methodology recognized the abnormalities in topographical agreement plus the quantification of same. In various cases in which the qualitative interpretation of the wall motion image did not permit recognition of abnormalities, the REF methodology identified and quantified defects of contraction in accordance with studies in regional perfusion
