By variational methods, it is shown that there exists a set Α open and dense in {a is an element of L∞(RN) : lim inf/x/→∞a(x)≥O} such that if a is an element of Α then the problem -Δu+u = a(x)/u/p-1u, u is an element of H1(RN), with p subcritical (or more general nonlinearities), admits infinitely many solutions
