Description
Presented description of the plant and methods of construction materials irradiation by helium ions with energies up to 4 MeV. For irradiation of materials developed, manufactured and launched a new accelerating interdigital H type structure POS-4, in which to focus the beam uses the alternating phase focus with stepper synchronous phase change along the focusing period. Created and studied injector singly charged helium ions, ion energy at the output of the accelerating tube is 120 keV, with subsequent injection of the beam in the accelerating section of POS-4. To irradiate the sample the camera was made, in the process of irradiation measured sample temperature, beam current and dose. Setting and methodology of irradiation tested in the investigation of thermodesorption of helium and electrical properties of the irradiated samples.
