Thermal expansion of sintered titanium and zirconium carbides in the sphere of their homogeneity
Description
Experiments on measuring the moduli of volumetric compression and coefficients of thermal expansion on sintered, titanium and circonium carbides in the region of their homogeneity are conducted. The values of thermal pressure coefficient aB are compared for the studied carbides, other monocarbides and basic metal elements in view of peculiarities of their crystal structure. The study conducted permits explaining stability of different crystal structures by unified fundamental physical properties of solids
