Cupra-decaborates of alkali metals and alkylammonium

Description
Cupra-decaborates of alkali metals and alkylammonium were synthesized and characterized by the methods of magnetic susceptibility, IR and electron spectroscopy. It is shown that cations of copper(1) and alkylammonium interact with closo-decaborate anion as a result of formation of identical type of local bonds E...B and E...H-B, where E = Cu+, N, the strength of which being commensurable. In electron absorption spectra bands of charge transfer between closo-decaborate anion and copper(1) cation are observed. Stability of the compounds in the air during heating was considered
