Description

The iron(2), ruthenium(2) and osmium(2) complexes with octaphenyltetraazaporphine, containing two axially coordinated pyridine molecules of the Ru2MOPTAPN2 composition are synthesized and their electron absorption spectra (EAS) are studied. The π -> π* transition bonds are the most intensive ones in the EAS in the areas of 570-620 and 330-370 nm. The hypsochrome shift of these bonds in the series of the Fe < Ru < Os-orbitals is the results of strengthening interaction of the metal ndπ-orbitals with the 4eg*-orbitals of microcycle ligands.
